Collaboration with Mary Kawena Pukui Cultural Preservation Society

Throughout the year 2025, No Nā ʻŌpio will be partnering with various community organizations and the Mary Kawena Pukui Cultural Preservation Society to create, coordinate, and produce educational offerings to celebrate the life and legacy of Mary Kawena Pukui, the 2025 honoree of the U.S. Mint Native American $1 coin. Our hālau will be entering the Queen Liliʻuokalani Keiki Hula Competition, will participate in the Folklife Festival, and join in various events being planned in partnership with the MKPCPS.
